SixFlags
We went to Six Flags yesterday, Tuesday, June 8, 2010. We thought it would be one of the greatest days of our lives! Little did we know that it would be pouring down on us the whole time. We got into the park at 10 in the morning. The first ride I went on was Raging Bull. There was no way I wasn’t going on that one. So, our group, which was Summer, Me, and Austin, went on that right away. Austin had never been to Six Flags before; let alone gone on a rollercoaster before. We went around to a bunch of other ones too. But by the time we had just gotten off of American Eagle, we ran into John, Wang, and Dakota. So, we decided to go on American Eagle a second time, with our now bigger group. After that, went on one more ride. I had been telling them that we should head to the lunch area for a while now. But, they said we would have more than enough time to get there. So, we still went on another ride. By the time we got off, it was already about 11:55. We had to get to the lunch area in less than 15 minutes and we had no idea where it even was! John said he had been to the park a million times. So, we weren’t too worried yet. But then he started leading us one way and all of a sudden he turns to us and says: “Where are we even going?” Now me and Summer were really starting to get worried that we would get in trouble for being late. E had a map, so we decided to see where we were and how to find our way to the lunch place. It took us a while to figure it out, but we started walking towards Iron Wolf. By the time we were by Iron Wolf, it was already 12:05. We had five minutes to get there, but we didn’t see anyone from our school! Me and Summer took off our shoes and started sprinting towards the lunch area. Finally we saw all of the teachers sitting in a line where we were supposed to sign in with them. The time was 12:09. We had made it with one minute spare. We had lunch, and we all agreed that it wasn’t the best lunch ever. We spent about 15 minutes there and then headed out to the park again. We went on the rest of the rides that we thought looked pretty cool. We even bought Batman capes for all of us. A little bit later, at about 4:45, we decided to go buy a coffee and funnel cake. The coffee was black and we had to put in our own sugar and cream. We put in three creams and about 5 sugar packets, yet it still tasted completely black. But, we didn’t realize that until we were already at the funnel cake place. We sent Austin and Dakota back to get more sugar. They came back and said that they had put five more packets of sugar in. He tasted it, and he said it tasted exactly the same. So, we sent them back again to get more sugar. This time they put in like 10 more sugar packets. He tasted it and said it was definitely sweet enough but it still had they taste of the black coffee: a little bit too much of the taste. We then decided to just throw it out because it was really nasty. So, we just ate the funnel cake. By the time we were done, it was time to get back on the busses. It had rained on us the whole time, but we still had the time of our lives.
Stars; He's Looking Down on You.
Dedicated to Abby Lopez.
Stars are the symbol of someone looking down on you
Someone who has passed on to a greater and happier place
They may not be here physically, but spiritually and mentally; always
You’ve had a great loss in your life, and we all want to be here for you
But maybe, you’re not ready to talk about it just yet
You think of him 24/7 and I know you miss him dearly.
But someday you will realize this very, oh so, clearly
He’s in a better place now, you cannot deny
Although you’ll miss him each and every day,
Your friends and family are here for you whenever you need us.
So, when you need a shoulder to cry on, call us up and you know we will run miles to get to you
No matter what the weather is, well be there.
But before any of that, look up to the sky, and just think to yourself: Stars are the symbol of someone looking down on you.
