Freddy and the Spooky Spiders (Book for Kindergarteners)

Pg. 1 Freddy the centipede is going to Joanie the jackal, Bianca the bear, Marissa the monkey, and Megan the moose’s house. But there was one problem…

Pg. 2 He had to go through the forest of spooky spiders! He stared at the forest for about 10 minutes, wondering what to do. Should he go around it? No, that would take too long. He couldn’t go over it or under it. There was only one possible way to cross the forest; he would have to go in it.

Pg. 3 He gathered up all of his courage, closed his eyes, and took one step in. Nothing happened. Everything stood still. He realized there was nothing to be afraid of. But then, from under a blueberry bush, crawled out two little spiders.

Pg. 4 “Hey what are you doing in this forest?”, said one of the little spiders.
“Uhmm, I was on my way to my friends’ house.”, said Freddy.
“Well, you can’t pass through here until you give us something yummy to eat.”, said the second little spider.

Pg. 5 Freddy looked in his pocket and saw the last blueberry muffin he had. The only way to get passed these insects was to give it to them. With the biggest frown on his face, he handed the treat over to them.
“Thank you very much.”, said the two spiders. “This will last us two whole months! You can now go!”

Pg. 6 Freddy skipped all the way out of the forest, and towards the house where all of his friends where waiting for him. When he got there, they greeted him with warm smiles and a huge plate stacked with all of the delicious blueberry muffins he could eat.
